Windowmaker can be linked to most accounting systems. These can either be by a simple data exchange using an ASCII file containing the necessary transaction details or using a more integrated approach. This integrated approach enables a Windowmaker user to access the relevant customer details (e.g. for credit limit checking) directly from the accounts system being used, regardless of whether it is running on a network, a mini or even a mainframe computer.
