What’s New in Windowmaker 5.950
|
Some of the important new features/enhancements in Windowmaker 5.950 are:
Multiple Profile and Fittings Modules
Windowmaker now supports set-up of Multiple Modules (3 each) of Profile and Fittings
data. This is expected to be useful to fabricators who use multiple materials or
have multiple suppliers within a single material. For more information, click
here.
|
| |
Windload
The set-up of required Rigidity (EIx) calculations is now also available for French
mullions, slider interlocks, folding features and 180 degree bay-poles.
- The calculations for these are on the same lines as for the frame transom/mullion
and coupler features.
- This helps ensure that the profiles used as these features in sliders, bi-fold doors,
French doors, combination pane types and flat bays have the required rigidity to
withstand possible deflections under given wind pressure.
|
|
Windowseller product: Create unlimited sales orders
There is now no limit to the number of sales quotes/sales orders that can be created in the Windowseller
program irrespective of whether using the:
- Free base level program.
- Program level limiting sales order storage to 50 or 250 sales quotes/sales orders.
|
|
|
Export Glass XML
|
Glass Purchase Orders can now also be generated in the ‘XML (XSD)’ format for transmitting
electronically to the glass supplier. The earlier XML format was based on DTD. The
new XSD based format is better in the following ways:
- While DTD lacks expressiveness and readability, XSDs are far more powerful in describing
XML languages. It makes the XML more readable and easily editable.
- XSDs also use an XML-based format which makes it easier to access and post-process.
- The earlier format required the Glazing.DTD file, of the correct version, to be
present in the same folder when accessing the XML file. The XSD format remove this
dependency.
- The XSD format is more generic and not specific to Glass purchase orders. In future,
this may be extended to generate Purchase orders for other products (e.g. Profiles,
Fittings, Frames).
|
Sales Order Imports
(Click on the image for an enlarged view)
The Glass Purchase Orders generated (as above) can be automatically imported as
sales quotes/sales orders in the Windowmaker program, if present, at the supplier’s end.
|
|
Standard Products
(Click on the image for an enlarged view)
The prices of Standard Products can now be quickly updated to reflect changes in,
e.g. costs of components or product specification.
|
|
|
|

Windowmaker Links to Machinery are now also available for:
- Urban AKS 6250 Welder
- RAPID PCE 5000 Saw

|
|
