Photo Fronts:
New door/window images can be superimposed on the original photograph to display the look and feel of the house before installing them. The superimposed images can be emailed to the customer.

Advanced Production Scheduling:
It is now possible to automatically schedule windows/doors manufactured on different production lines into separate production batches. e.g. a Fabricator has different production lines for different types of items viz. doors, casements, sliders. Scheduling a Job containing a mix of these will automatically separate and schedule the items in the respective production batches.

Windowmaker 5.910 is released!

BOM records for part and manual items are now stored in the database. These items, and their associated graph-ics, can now be included on various Crystal reports and Customer documents.

A Sealed unit belonging to Components (Make-to-Order) costhead, is expanded into its individual components and B.O.M is generated for the components.

The ‘Windowmaker Position Code’ setting on the preferences page now also applies to Glass BOM lines.

Pre-requisites for upgrading to Wm5.900 or higher
Database

The program now supports SQL Server 2008.
Any Windowmaker product using SQL Server Express Edition will require SQL Server Express 2008 Edition. Upgrading to Wm5.900 will automatically change\migrate the database to use SQL Server 2008 Express Edition. These products will not work with SQL Server Express 2005 Edition.
Any Windowmaker product using SQL Server (non-Express) Edition will work with both SQL Server 2005 and 2008 Editions.

August, being a holiday month in several markets, is generally a slow month for us. With the impact of the slowdown added, we expected the worst. However, some aggressive canvassing for business from existing customers and a few new deals have ensured our August 2009 revenues are 50% higher than the same month last year!

Swiftshield Limited, a Gloucester-based PVC-U fabricator, which has a trading arm named ‘Windowmaker’ went into Administration on 12th Sept, 2008. The Windowmaker of the Swiftshield connection is not to be confused with us – Windowmaker Software Limited! We are very much alive and kicking!! We are busy as ever – and this is reflected in the number of trade shows where we shall be present in over the next few months – one each in the USA, Canada, China and India, not to mention the just-concluded one in Australia.
